Some people are born confident and sure of themselves, while others need to build this crucial skill throughout their life, and unfortunately some never do. This ability can take you wherever you want to go and provide experiences you may not have ever considered a possibility.

Confidence comes in many different forms, and there are endless ways to go about improving your own besides just eating right, exercising, and generally taking care of your wellbeing.

I believe the biggest confidence builder I have encountered was spending the majority of my working life in the customer service industry. 


Working in the hotel, restaurant, and security industry has exposed me to a wide variety of different people and situations that the average person would never encounter.

Years of working in the service industry provided me with a platform to practice my communication skills in real time and get paid while doing it. The transition from hospitality to security was seamless due to my ability to understand customer and client needs and what keeps people as long time patrons.   


Customer service jobs are engaging and difficult at times, which is why they are such a great means of building confidence. If you struggle with getting out of your comfort zone or maybe you would like to work on your communication skills, then consider a career in hospitality or customer service, and as always, remain professional.
